Mr. Richard D. Higgins, 84. of Mt. Olive, died Tuesday. Mav 9. 1989 at his residence. The Simpson County native was a retired farmer, an Elder and Sunday School teacher at Hopewell Presbvterian Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday. May 10, 1989 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Garner and Rev. Joe Garner officiating. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Mager was in charge of arrangements and burial was at Sharon Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Truman Higgins of Mt. Olive; 3 daughters. Mrs. Willie Mae Brisler of Mt. Olive. Mrs, Dorothy Garner of Magee and Mrs. Patricia Sullivan of Mize: a sister. Mrs. Alberta Roberts of Mt. Olive; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren. 1 great-great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
