Mrs. Lloyd Postel, 67, of 1996 Sixth Street, Kiel, a former school librarian, died unexpectedly at her home Thursday afternoon. The former Evelyn Roeck was born in Kiel, December 3, 1909, daughter of the late Christian and Helen Duecker Roeck. She was graduated from Kiel High School in 1927 and attended Ripon College and Lawrence University. On July 7, 1946, she married Lloyd Postel at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Postel served as a librarian at the Kiel Elementary and Meeme Schools. She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, the Women's Guild of the church, a member and former secretary of the Kiel Library Board.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Gillett, of Skokie, Illinois, and Miss Elizabeth Postel, of Madison.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, with the Reverend John F. Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Kiel Cemetery.
