Vincent W. Polster, 69, of Kiel, died Friday evening, June 11, 1999, at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.
He was born Dec 17, 1929, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Omar and Agnes Harmann, Weiskopf Polster. He was a 1948 graduate of Kiel High School and a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Korean conflict. On Feb. 10, 1984, he married Rita Daun Drake at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. He was employed at Kohler Co. for 31 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Kiel VFW Post 6707.
Survivors include his wife, Rita, one son, Douglas Drake, Milwaukee, two daughters, Vanece (Dan) Polster-Sinnen, Diana, Tex., Dawn (Milton) Polster-Cortinza-Bartz, Plymouth; five grandchildren, six step-children, Linda (John) Drake-Roehrig, Mt Calvary, Kathleen (David) Drake-Sander, Kiel, Russell (Terry) Drake, Fond du Lac, Charles (Amy) Drake, Mesa, Ariz., Thomas (Angela) Drake, Crays Lake, Ill., and Debra (Joel) Drake-Bercham, Manitowoc. He is further survived by 10 step-grandchildren, two brothers, Charles (Joyce) Polster, St. Anna, Lanny (Vi) Weiskopf, Kiel and one sister, Diane (Harland) Broehm, Kaukauna. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Clarence Weiskopf and a son-in-law, Tom Cortinaz, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery.
