Robert F. Glover letter on the Glover Family

Found in a trunk of Daphne Gelser Glover was a letter on the background of the Glover and Nichols family handwritten apparently from Robert Fremont Glover (although it could have been Mary Gates Glover) to his daughter Dasie Glover Snyder. The letter would have been written sometime after Dasie's marriage to Lewis Snyder in 1909, and prior to the death of Mary Gates Glover in 1922, or the death of Robert in 1943. It refers to "your grandfather," which would be William Glover, and "your grandmother," which would be Ann Nichols Kuhder Glover. Part of the letter below:

It states: "info to Mother Snyder."

GLOVERS---Two brothers who came from England. John Glover –do not know what place he came from, likely same as your Grandfather, which was Hull.

At one time there were ads in papers asking for names of Glovers in this country, who were supposed to be heirs to 60 million dollars in the Bank of England. Never answered the ad as thought it might be a hoax. We were told the first Robert Glover was Herald to the King.

William Glover was from Hull, Yorkshire. He married Ann Nichols Kuder, your Grandparents.

They came from England also from a place named Pocklington. I am not sure that is quite right, no I looked it up, it is Pocklington about 25 miles or so n.w. of Hull, which is a large shipping center where Father Glover lived.
