MERIDIAN- Services for Kenneth Owen Earl, 78, of Meridian, Ida., who died Sat., Nov. 15, 1975, at a Boise, Ida. hospital, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Meridian First Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be at the Meridian Cemetery.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1897, in Bunkerville, Nev., where he attended school. He married Vertie Ann Leavitt Sept. 3, 1917, in Las Vegas, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Mormon Temple. He owned and operated a general store in Bunkerville, and was active in politics and the Mormon church.

He moved to Meridian, where he farmed for several years. After moving to St. George, Utah, he worked in the Mormon temple there for 20 years. He returned to Meridian and had since lived there.

Surviving are his wife, of Meridian; four sons, Ken and Larry, both of Moses Lake, Wash., Lewis, of Tremonton, Utah, and Dean Earl, of Kamas, Utah; three daughters, Wilma Strasser of Meridian, Alice Packard of Carlsbad, Calif., and Ann Danes of Poway, Calif.; four brothers and seven sisters; 59 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Relyea Mortuary, Boise, until 8:30 tonight, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and at the chapel Wednesday one hour before services.
