Marie Albrough, known as "Lil" (Couvier) Albrough, age 84 of Midland, Mich., died early Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010 at MidMichigan Medical Center.
The daughter of the late Romeo Couvier and Jean (Bourque) Couvier, Marie Couvier was born April 10, 1926 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. where she was raised and educated.
Lil Couvier married Francis G. Albrough on November 16, 1946 and after 55 years of marriage he predeceased her, March 28, 2002. Lil enjoyed artwork, especially painting. She loved to entertain with her family and friends. She was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sault Ste. Marie.
Lil Albrough was survived by her son, David (Deb) Albrough of Hemlock; daughter, Leanne (Davis) MacDonald of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandson, Jason (Beth) Albrough of Rochester, Mich.; step grandchildren, Nathan (Christine) MacDonald of Charleston, South Carolina, Jeff MacDonald of Marquette, Mich.; great grandson, Elliot MacDonald; caregiver and best friend, Karen Janner of Midland, Mich.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lil was predeceased by her daughter, Georgia Jacobson; brother, Henry Couvier; and sisters, Noella King and Jeannette Vetter.
