Funeral services for Oscar Bartness, 87, formerly of Hartland will be at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Hartland, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Eldon Underdahl will officiate.
Burial will be in Hartland cemetery.
Mr. Bartness died Saturday about 1 a.m. at Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident the past eight years.
He was born Dec. 3,1884 in Bath Township to Tidman and Caroline Bartness. He attended Bath schools and Luther Academy in Albert Lea. He worked for 10 years at the Bath Creamery before beginning farming.
He married Emma Bakken June 25, 1910, in the LeSueur Lutheran Church near Bath.
His wife, in 1957; his parents and four brothers, Martin, Walter, Royal and Arthur preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd; three grandchildren in Hartland. Three brothers Earl of Hartland, Willie of Ellendale and Todd of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Two sisters, Mrs. Orville Stommer of Wisconsin Dells and Mrs. Holly Peterson of Albert Lea.
