Deceased Name: Obituary: Dalone Finster Dalone (Dee) Lower Rodgers Johnson Finster, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Oct. 4, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 25, 1923 in Amalga, Utah to Richard Lower and Laura Hillyard Lower. Graduated from North Cache High and Seminary in 1941.
Married Eddie Lee Rodgers, Claude Jackson Johnson, Kurt Herman Finster. Later sealed to Kurt Herman Finster for eternity in the South Jordan LDS Temple.
Our loving, spirited mother was known by all as a dear friend. Her spunky, vivacious and unique personality blessed all who knew her. She loved the beautiful, bright city lights; loved to dance to the big band music; and loved children.
She was a devoted member of the LDS Church and loved to work in the Temple with the Friday Night Gals.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Jackie) Rodgers Johnson of San Diego, CA: Tommy (Sue) Rodgers Johnson, West Jordan; Marvin (Marilyn) Johnson, West Valley; Kevin (Patty) Johnson, Murray; Rulon Johnson, Salt Lake; Kalvin (Wendy) Johnson, West Valley; Bonnie (Isaac) Finster McDougall, Salt Lake City; Angela (Jim) Finster Sadler, Ft. Sill, OK. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Stewart (Verna) Lower, Amalga, UT, and Val (Gwen) Lower, Roy, UT.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, 12 noon in the Salt Lake Eagle Gate Stake Center, "A" St. & 2nd Ave. Friends may call one hour before the service to greet the family at the stake center. Burial will be on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Dalone Finster.
Mom, we love you and will miss you a lot. You were an awesome mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
