My Great Grandfather George Scott served in the Union Army

GEORGE'S FATHER - I'm searching for John SCOTT, my 3d Great Grandfather. Born about 1808 in Largo, County Fife, Scotland. Died 8 Aug 1849 in New York City (New York County), during the 2nd wave of cholera in New York City.. being sick only 1 day. The John Scott buried at Green-Wood Cemetery, is not ours

I've been reading all I can find about burials during the cholera outbreak, and learned there were mass graves on Randall's Island, in the East River... but they say many were removed and buried elsewhere, including Green-Wood.

Sarah, my great grandmother, was born Sarah Jane Sears,in May 1834, in New Jersey, and died Jan 17, 1890 in Paterson NJ. Sarah and her father Milton sears are in the Paterson NJ City Directory

George Scott married his 2nd wife Mary Smith born Marie Georgette Maurer, from Alsace France, on Jun 4 1895 Manhattan NY. Mary's parents are Aeneas or Rencas F Maurer + Rose or Rosa Pfeiffer.
