Bladen Home Guard, CSA∼On pg. 15 of Memoirs of Joseph Richard Kemp (Bladen Co., NC Historical Society), he states " Jonathan Singletary was born 9th July 1769. Jonathan Singletary died January 23rd 1865, aged 95 years 6 months and 14 days. One more good and honest old relation gone".
In 1850 Bladen Co. Census, he is listed as age 80 and his wife Sarah A. listed as age 69.

Jonathan Singletary was a son of Joseph & Mary FitzRandolph Singletary.

It reads: "...Pp. 138 : 27 July 1804 Jonathan Singletary of Bladen Co., planter, son of Mary Singletary....conveyed unto me by my Uncle Benjamin FitzRandolph by deed of 19 Oct 1784....".

Jonathan married Sarah Ann Harrison , d. of Edward who was killed in the Battle of Elizabethtown 1781.
Jonathan's birthdate of 6 July 1769 recorded in Vol. I Bible & Family Records of Bladen Co., NC pg. 84. {6 rather than 9 could be a typo}.
