OBITUARY

John C. Byer

John C. Byer, 83, died Sunday, July 15, 1990, at the Leisure Homestead, Stafford.

He was born March 3, 1907, in Stafford County, the son of Albert "Bert" and Gladys Silver Byer. A lifetime resident of Stafford, he was a retired farmer and stockman.

He was a past member of the Kansas Livestock Association.

On Oct. 11, 1932, he married Dayle McMillan at St. John. She died April 2, 1989.

Survivors include: two sons, Joe and Ronald, both of Stafford; three sisters, Opal Wendt, Wichita, Mary Fuller, Stafford, and Gladys Hohner, Waverly; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peacock-Milton Funeral Chapel, Stafford with the Rev. Glen O. Morford officiating. Burial in the Stafford Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society in care of the Funeral chapel.
