Mrs. Leota B. Wampler, 72, of 1135 Braddock Road, LaVale, was pronounced dead on arrival today at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born at Avilton, she was a daughter of the late James and Jeannetta (Painter) McKenzie. She was a member of the Frostburg Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her husband, Harold E. Wampler; three sons, Donald Hawn of Rawlings, Harold Hawn of Eckhart, and Elwood Hawn of Baltimore; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Nolan of Cedar Lake, Ind.; seven sisters, Mrs. Freda Wiley of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Jeanetta Yoder of Glen Burnie, Mrs. Agnes McKenzie and Mrs. Beaulah McKenzie, both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Imogene Snyder of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Joy Perkins of Midland, Mrs. Mabel Beechie of Vale Summit; three brothers, Glenn McKenzie of Eckhart, James McKenzie of Cumberland, and Edgar McKenzie of Lonaconing; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
