Funeral services for Edwin Frederick Heger of the Town of Fairbanks, will be held, August 31, at 2pm, at the St John's Lutheran Church in Tigerton. Heger, who was 73 years old, died yesterday, after an illness of one week.
He was born January 5, 1876, in Watertown, Wisconsin, the son of Mr and Mrs Fred Heger.
He was married to Elizabeth Edeler, October 26, 1898 in Hortonville. He lived in Hortonville some time and then came to the Town of Fairbanks, where he lived for the last 46 years. His wife preceded him in death on August 17, 1948.
Survivors include nine children: Irene, Mr Ed Rhinart, Michigan; Edwin, Jr, and Luther, Fairbanks; Paul, Split Rock; Mark, Shiocton; Gladys, Mrs William Klingbeil, Grant; Dorothy, Mrs Harold Kauffman, DeWitt, Iowa; and Marcella, Mrs Harold Kersten, Stillwater, Minnesota. Also surviving are 40 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Henry, Clintonville and Herbert, Milwaukee; 4 sisters, Mrs Martha Schultz, Wittenberg, Mrs Annie Buboltz, Sugar Bush, Mrs Lydia Gallow, Fremont, and Mrs Matilda Frengstick.
Friends may call at the Tigerton Funeral Home on Tuesday noon until time of services.
Burial will be at the Union Cemetery.
