Louis Richard Jenkins, 83, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Udine Stafford Jenkins; loving father to Sharon J. Dupuy (Jessie Sr.) and Patricia J. Reffner (Paul); grandfather to Kelly Dupuy Davis, Jessie Dupuy Jr. and Stephen Reffner; great-grandfather to Brennan Simoneaux and Hunter Davis; and brother to Harold Jenkins and Virginia Windom.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Molly Cowart Jenkins; and his father, Lawrence S. Jenkins.
He was a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Ponchatoula for the past 28 years. He was a mechanic at Regional Transit Authority in New Orleans.
Funeral services were held yesterday at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., Covington. Interment was in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery on Firetower Road in Ponchatoula.
