On April 24th, 1851,Barbara Ann Hoover married George Thomas Gray near Smicksburg, Indiana County, PA. Elizah Coleman of the Methodist Episcopal Church was minister. Christiana Kinter Hoover of Gaskill Township, Jefferson County,(wife of brother Samuel T. Hoover) was bridesmaid. Mr. E. Lewis of
Smicksburg was groomsman.

After their marriage they lived on the Bovard Farm near Marion Center. They later lived in Young Township outside of the borough of Punxsutawney.

Barbara and her husband,George,were the parents of these known children:
~ Joseph Gray of Punxsutawney;
~ Samuel Gray of Caledonia;
~ T.B. Allison Gray of Punxsutawney;
~ Mrs. Sharetts Sprankle of Trade City;
~ Mrs. Dorsey Gensamer of Kaylor;
~ Mrs. Jane Hilliard of Plumville;
~ Mrs. William Thomas Of Caledonia;
~ Mrs. William Hoeh of Punxsutawney.
