Son of Capt. Zenas Weeks and Chloe Blossom.

The last survivor of the whaling ship Essex. The ship was attacked by a whale in the Pacific ocean leading to the death of most of the crew. Seth , a young man at the time survived and returned to Barnstable. He eventually became a Captain himself.
The story of the Essex was the basis of Herman Melville's book "Moby Dick"
