John W. Biddle, 83, of Sullivan died at 10:10 p.m., Wednesday July 23, 2003 in Miller's Merry Manor.

He retired from Charles Pfizer Co.

He was born November 8, 1919 in Sullivan to Guy and Elva Burress Biddle.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly McCammon Biddle, one son, Scott Biddle of Sullivan; one daughter , Janis Lamb of Sullivan; one brother, William Biddle of Lombard, Illinois; one sister, Lois Bradbury of Terre Haute; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Methodist Church, U. S. Army Band, American Legion Post 139, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2459 and Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 911.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Banks & Brust Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and before services. Hymera, Shelburn and Sullivan American Legion Posts will conduct Military Services.
