My grandfather.
Son of Albert and Catherine McFarland.
Grandson of Elmore J. and Harriett BUSHEY McFarland.
His grandmother, Harriett was Full Blooded Cherokee.
He was born in Iowa. He came to Montana with his parents and had been employed by Northern Pacific Railroad in Glendive,MT. He, his father Albert R. McFarland and his grandfather homesteaded on Burns Creek in the early 1900's when he was a boy. He farmed his grandfather's homestead when the drought and locust finally made him sell out and move to Lindsay, WA.

His last employment was with Herb Gulberg of Circle, MT. where he had been a construction carpenter and a maintenance carpenter. He also worked for Boeing Aircraft of Seattle,WA. during WWII.
He had resided in Pleasant Hill,CA. for the past 10 years.
He had 5 sons, George R.(deceased), Wayne H.(deceased), Alvin R.(deceased), Warren C.(deceased), and Larry J. and 3 daughters, Winifred (deceased), Verna (deceased), and Kathryn (deceased) .

31 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Died of a Stroke.
Aged 83 years.
