Funeral services for Mrs Emma Ellen Black, 53, resident of Lexington, were conducted from the Catholic church in Lexington Monday morning, with Father Louis Hugo officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Lexington with the Yoakum funeral home in charge.
Mrs Black passed away at St Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City Thursday of last week.
She was born in Neosha county, KS. On 4/27/1909, she was married to Walter Black, deceased. Five children were born, 3 of whom survive. They are Neal, Paul, & Martha, all of Lexington.
She is also survived by her mother, Mrs Lucy Smith of Oklahoma City, 2 sisters, Mrs Lee Whitsett of Oklahoma City and Mrs Cleo Whittington of Leeds, N. Dakota, and 5 grandchildren.
