Services were held at 9:30am Friday in St John the Baptist Catholic church, in Lexington, for Mrs Ida Louise Giroux, who died Tuesday, May 28th, in her home, following a long illness. Rev Kenneth Fulton officiated, and burial was in the Lexington Catholic cemetery. Rosary services were held at 8:30pm Thursday in the Yoakum Chapel in Purcell.
Mrs Giroux was born in Kansas. She was a charter member of the Rural Aid Club and an active member for 36 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs Edna Fryrear of Oklahoma City, 2 sons, Andrew and Henry Giroux, both of Lexington, a sister, Adeline Farley of Lexington, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Bearers were Theodore Schmitz, Frank Pressure, John Vieth, Henry Hooper, Tony Feuerborn, and Bernard Ille.
