FRED M. NENNE DIES IN EUREKA HOSPITAL; SERVICES SUNDAY AFTERNOON:
TOLUCA: Fred M. Nenne, 75, a Toluca farmer died in the hospital in Eureka, IL, from the effects of a heart attack suffered early in November. He had been previously hospitalized for a month and had been in the hospital one day when he died.
The body was taken to the Lenz funeral home in Lacon, where friends may call today. The remains will be taken to St. Paul's Lutheran church in Varna at noon Sunday. Funeral services will be there at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. C. A. Mennicke in charge.
Born Oct. 23, 1881 in Nekosken, Germany, he was the son of Peter and Wilhelmina (Berg) Nenne. He was brought to the United States at the age of 13 when the family settled on a farm near Varna.
His marriage to Hattie Juers took place Feb. 26, 1913 in La Rose and they became the parents of four children. Shortly after his marriage, Mr. Nenne began farming near Varna and the family moved to their present home in 1929. He was partially retired.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Tidmarsh of Varna and Mrs. George Johann of Las Cruces, NM, and a son, Frederick Nenne of Toluca. There are 15 grandchildren. Also left are one sister, Mrs. Julius Otto of Varna, and five brothers, August, William, Peter, Rudolph and Amel.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gertrude, who died in infancy. A brother, Gust, passed away several years ago. Several sisters and a brother died in early childhood.
