Walter Talley born in Powder Springs in 1869. Moved to Villa rica around 1880, attended Villa Rica High School and Douglasville College. Sone of Alonzo Henry Talley and Eugenia Anne Green Talley Grandson of George W. and Louisa Anderson Talley, Engaged in cotton, fertilizer and mercantile businesses. Served many years on both local and county school boards. Member and treasureer First Baptist church, instrumental in construction of Baptist church and school building which is being torn away.
He married Mary Roberds.
