Rosalia Louisa "Rosa" Fink was born in Ohio and came to Texas with her parents and maternal grandparents in 1878. After her mother's death in 1881, Rosa moved to Bryan, Texas, with her father and two brothers. It was in Bryan where Rosa grew to womanhood and where she married John Wesley Kestler on Feb. 10, 1892. John W. Kestler was actually a first cousin of Rosa's stepmother, Florence Patterson Fink.
John and Rosa lived most of their married life in Waco and they were the parents of two children.

MRS. ROSA KESTLER

Mrs. Rosa Kestler of Waco died in a Fort Worth hospital last night at 6 o'clock. The body will be sent to Waco at 9 o'clock this morning by Robertson-Mueller-Harper. Mrs. Kestler is survived by a son, C. W. Kestler, Waco; and a daughter, Mrs. H. A. Vahrenkamp, Fort Worth.

MRS. ROSA KESTLER

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday for Mrs. Rosa L. Kestler, who died yesterday in a Fort Worth sanitarium, from the home of her son, Charles W. Kestler, 931 N. Thirty-second street. The body arrived at noon today by train and was taken in charge by Compton's funeral home. Rev. L. L. Felder, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate with interment at Oakwood. Mrs. Kestler is the widow of John W. Kestler, who died about two years ago. She leaves a son, Charles W. Kestler, Waco; a daughter, Mrs. H. A. Vahrenkamp, Fort Worth; and two brothers, R. G. Fink and William Fink, both of Houston.
