Louise Marie Emilie Ida Blankenstein was born in Barby, Germany. Louise Blankenstein was baptized September 11, 1853, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Barby, Germany.
Louise came to the U.S. with her family in 1870. She married Carl Friedrich Fink on August 12, 1873, in Defiance, Ohio. Carl Fink was a native of Burgstall, Germany. Carl and Louise Fink came to Texas with Louise's parents in 1878, and they settled at Center, in Falls Co., Tx. (In 1902, the name of the community was changed from Center to McClanahan). Carl and Louise Fink were the parents of three children: Rosa Fink Kestler (1874-1928); William Fink (1876-1961) and Richard Fink (1880-1970). After Louise's death in 1881 at the age of 27 years, Carl and his three children moved to Bryan, in Brazos Co., Texas, where Carl remarried in 1883.
It is possible that Louise is buried in an unmarked grave in the McClanahan Cemetery.
