Mrs. James C. Falkinburgh, who spent much of her life in Clark County, Missouri, died at the home of her daughter, Miss Grace Falkinburg, in Michigan City, Indiana at 3 p.m. Wednesday after an illness of three months. She was aged 78 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

The daughter of Dr. J. C. and Addie Rains Stover, she was born in Anderson, Indiana, October 24, 1865. She married James C. Falkinburgh in Luray, Clark County, Missouri, August 10, 1882.

Her husband, Mr. Falkinburgh, preceded her in death, June 23, 1921.

To this union were born seven children, all of whom remain to mourn their loss, as follows: Mrs. Gertrude Kirchner of Kansas City, Mrs. Addie Sexsmith of St. Petersburg, Florida; Mrs. Agnes Hisnett of Polo, Missouri; L. C. Falkinburgh of Moline, Illinois; Mrs. Maude Fitzgerald of Wamego, Kansas; Miss Grace Falkinburgh of Michigan City and Mrs. Fern Harbaugh of Manhattan, Kansas, also many other relatives.

She was united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age and was a devout Christian throughout her entire life. She was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Luray, Saturday, February 5, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. conducted by the Rev. Russell Kirchner, a grandson, pastor of the Rockwood Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery there.

The pallbearers were Otho Fairbrother, Archie Hawkins, William Hawkins, William Carter, John Frankhouse and Albert Stevens.
