He was married to Miss Addie Raines of Anderson, Indiana in 1861. To this union were born three daughters and one son, C. C. Stover, Livingston, Montana; Mrs. Willard Combs, Gibbons, Montana; Mrs. A. W. Combs, Chicago, Illinois, all of whom survive together with the devoted wife to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.
Dr. Stover graduated from the electric medical college of Des Moines in 1888.
The deceased was a consistent member of the Christian Church of Arbela, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Combs Cemetery.
