Hilan Sullivan died last Thursday at Ottawa
Thursday morning at about 10 o'clock a message was received over the telephone that Hilan Sullivan, who had been at Stormont hospital for about a week, was dead, Although little hope had been held from the first for his recovery, yet the people were hopeful that something could be done to restore his health. But the sad news came at last and threw a pall over every heart. Hilan was born and reared near Twin Mound and spent the early part of his life on a farm, thus removing him from the environment of city life, which often works to the injury of the boy. He came to Richland about ten years ago, and began clerking in Neese's store, where he remained until his death, serving his employer faithfully and gaining the confidence of all patrons. Mr. Sullivan leaves a wife and child to mourn. The funeral was held at the house Friday at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. Oliver...A large concourse of people followed the remains to their last resting place. The wife and relatives have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
