Oscar F. Goodwin, 84, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma N. Goodwin; sons, Robert and Andrea, Richard and wife, Elissa, and Thomas and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Jessica, and Abigail. Oscar was born August 20, 1925 to Russell and Nettie Goodwin in Mattoon, IL. He was a World War II Veteran, awarded two Bronze Star Medals for action in the Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns with the 59th Armored Infantry Battalion, 13th Armored Division, 3rd Army. Oscar was a photographer with Sandia National Labs for 40 years and was known as the "Ansel Adams of Sandia". Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona St. NE. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery the following Monday.
