Deceased was a pioneer of the county, having resided in Vineland township near Climax for over 35 years. They came to this city several years ago, having retired from active farming operations. Mrs. Hanstad was born in Norway and came to the United States about 40 years ago.
Besides her husband, five sons and four daughters survive. The sons are: Hans of Climax, Theodore of Climax, Lawrence of Crookston, Ole of Climax and Halvor of Milwaukee, Wis. and daughters, Nora and Ragna of this city, Mrs. Martin Hippi of Lankin, ND, and Mrs. John Thompson of Climax.
The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at the Sandhill Lutheran church with Rev. Ludvig Pederson officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Her father was Kjostov Eivindson Grova; he died in Norway.
