BAR HARBOR - Rose Anna (Salisbury) Giles, 94, died Oct. 2, 2006, at a local health care facility after a long illness. She was born March 31, 1912, in Mariaville, the daughter of Willis and Blanche Salisbury.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Carlton, Irving and Fred; sisters, Persis, Sylvia, Arleeta and Pauline; her husband, Leon Philip Giles; and her daughter, Patricia Burns of Bar Harbor.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty and her husband, Hillard Walls, of Otter Creek; grandchildren, Tad Walls, Dennis Burns and George Burns, all of Bar Harbor, Susan Robertson and Amanda Beal of Southwest Harbor, Kevin Walls of Otter Creek, Deanna Surette and Jeffery Burns of Ellsworth; her two much loved dogs, Gi-Gi and Tuffy; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many she loved as if they were actually blood relatives, David and Anne Zaslau, of New York.
