Dorothy (Schaefer) Houston, 87, died on Tuesday at the Margaret T. Morris Center, Prescott Valley, Ariz. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the graveside service on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden, N.J., at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are completed by the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, Elizabeth, N.J. Born in Linden, Dorothy lived in Roselle Park, N.J., for many years before moving to Prescott Valley in 2006. She was a clerk in the accounting department of Bell Telephone, Cranford, N.J., before retiring many years ago. Dorothy was an active member of the Salvation Army, Elizabeth Corps, for many years. She was the wife of the late Alvin T., who died in 1981. She is survived by a daughter, Charlene Eschbach and her husband, Alan, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and two grandchildren, Mark and Susan Eschbach.
