******************************************
Biography:

He was the 8th child of 8 born posthumously to Henry and Annie "Laura" Simpson.

Before he was born, on Thanksgiving Day in 1923, a horrific car/train accident claimed the life of his father Henry Simpson. Henry was not at fault. His father was only 37. His oldest brother William "Harold", age 11, was thrown from the vehicle and miraculously survived. Uncle Jimmy was later born posthumously in April 1924. His father had co-owned the Hope Ice Company in Hope, Arkansas with his brothers. All who knew his father shared in this heartbreak.

His last known residence was Inkster, Michigan. He met his first wife Betty (maiden name Sites) who was the mother of his four children, three girls and one boy and divorced when the children were young. He later remarried to his 2nd wife, his beloved Kitty (maiden name unknown). They lived their lives together in Michigan, while together raising the youngest of her 3 daughters. They had no children together. Kitty had a young boy that passed away. Kitty had predeceased uncle Jimmy.

********************************************************

Jimmy was a professional pianist. He began learning to play by standing on a wood coca-cola box to get up to the ivory keys. Never took a lesson and was a natural as he entertained and amazed all with his lightening fast fingers on those keys. Along with a beautiful voice, charming smile, quick wit, he is what you would call in the day, the piano man. He would look across the room, into the crowd, at one person and smile so bright and grin without missing a key. His fingers would slow down and glide, along with his voice a melody would capture your heart. His hands were insured for a top price to stay in the entertainment circuit. He knew his flashy smile and entertainment caught the attention of the ladies in this lifestyle. He didn't get caught up in it. He was honorable and he loved his family. He was close to his sister and brothers across the miles. He had a warm heart especially for his fur buddies.

Heartbreakingly, his young daughters Patty Simpson and Kathy Simpson predeceased him. This tragedy left a hole in my uncle's heart and all who knew and loved his two precious girls.
