Benjamin F. Daniels III., 67, of Harding, residing at Highland Manor the last 10 years, passed away at VNA Hospice at Heritage House on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Born in Pittston on May 5, 1942, Benjamin was a son of the late Benjamin Jr. and Lucille Vosburg Daniels. He was a 1960 graduate of West Pittston High School. Ben served in the U.S. Marines active and reserves from 1960 to 1966. He was a member of American Legion Post 672, Valley Lodge No. 499, Brother Mason Noble of the Mystic Shrine and the Memorial Shrine. Ben served as supervisor of Exeter Township and also Roadmaster. He was also an avid hunter. He was self employed as a truck driver and seal coater prior to his illness. He is survived by children Cynthia Timinski and husband Stanley, Harding; Benjamin and wife Colleen, Plains Township; and Deborah Daniels, Exeter; grandchildren Alyssa and Stanley Timinski III., and Morgan and Zachary Daniels. The family of Benjamin would like to sincerely thank Highland Manor and Dr. Patrick Kerrigan for 10 years of exceptional care. Also, VNA Hospice at Heritage House, for his care in his final days. To all: Thank you! Funeral service will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston. Pastor Jeff Klansek will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding. Friends may call Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
