Mr. Darling was born Jan. 25, 1922, in Ames, Okla. A veteran of the Army who served during World War II, he came to Arizona after his discharge and worked as a carpenter for John F. Long Co.
Mr. Darling later worked for Arizona Public Service Co., from which he retired. A longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he also was a volunteer for the Buckeye Food Bank.
Mr. Darling was preceded in death by his wife, Marvourine.
He is survived by three daughters, Jean McDaniel and Judy Baxter of Buckeye and Diane Giesting of Oro Valley; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 7 at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Park in Buckeye. The Rev. Barry Johnson will officiate.
