Espie Riddle, 91, died at 3:14 .am. Thursday, March 4, 2010 in his residence.
He was born in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Richard and Docha (Craycraft) Riddle and had lived in Marion since 1961. He married Irene Purvis on October 28, 1944. She preceded him in death June 1, 1999.
Espie retired from Westpoint Foundry and loved gardening.
Survivors include his children, Wilbur Riddle, Marion, Edward Riddle, Marion, Donna (Larry) McKee, Swayzee, Robert (Patricia) Riddle, Marion, Clyde (Brenda) Riddle, Marion, Walter Riddle, Marion, Connie (Steve) Burkhart, Marion, Frank (Cathy) Riddle, Marion, James (Mary) Riddle, Marion; sister, Clara Porter, Kentucky; 38 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Sharon Riddle, Marion; son-in-law, Robert Jones, Marion.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Jones; son, Ewell Riddle; 15 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion with Rev. William Thompson officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 in the funeral home.
