Funeral for John Hill Jones, 24, of 1810 Stratford Road SE, who died Sunday at his residence, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Charlie McKimmon officiating, with burial in the Decatur Cemetery, Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Jones of Decatur; one brother, George H. Jones III of Birmingham; two sisters, Lucia Jones of Washington, D.C. and Martha Jones of Chicago; and his grandmother, Mrs. John Peach of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Billy Eyster, Winston Jones, Byron Teague, Steve Mixon, Billy Kirby and Ben Wilder.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Jones graduated from Decatur High School in 1975 and attended the University of Alabama.
