The closing exercises of our school district, No. 31, were held at the school house Friday afternoon. Beside a large attendance from our own district, a large delegation came up from No. 3.

Miss Jennie Ware of Nichols taught the school, and has proved herself to be a very successful teacher, giving perfect satisfaction to the parents, and being a favorite among the young people and scholars. All wish her a pleasant vacation and success in the future.

The exercises were opened by a song by the audience. The county superintendent being present was called upon to make a few remarks. After a short recess refreshments in the line of ice cream, cake and lemonade were passed around, to which everyone did full justice.

Among the visitors were Mrs. and Miss Hosford of North Platte, Misses Jessie Ware, Jessie Camp and Fred and Everit Ware. of Nichols.
