Mr. Sam Milton Holmes, age 88, of Snead, Alabama, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Grandview Hospital.
Mr. Holmes was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church, he served his country in The United States Army, was a volunteer Firefighter and member of the Rescue Squad. He was also a Member of The Snead Town Council and The Lion’s Club.
He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, his grandson and his sister.
Mr. Holmes is preceded in death by his wife – Carol Grimes Holmes; his parents – Oll and Effie (Jimmerson) Holmes, his brothers – Gradon Holmes, Elvis Holmes and Junior Holmes; and his sisters – Pauline Larkin, Corine Waid, Lucille McBrayer, Olevia Wright, and Carnell Webb.
Funeral Service was December 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
