Jerry Wayne Breshears, 65, burst through the gates of Heaven on August 11, 2010 to be reunited with his Heavenly and Earthly Fathers. Jerry passed away after being involved in a traffic accident while working in Pennsylvania. Jerry was born July 30, 1945, in Brisbane, Queensland Australia to Florence Holt Breshears and the late Cecil Breshears Sr. of Leakey, Texas.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father.
He survived by his loving mother Florence, his sons Caleb Breshears and wife Jana of Victoria, Texas, Dax Breshears and wife Helen of Portland, Texas, Derek Breshears and fiancée Karen Robertson of San Antonio, Texas. His grandchildren Brittany, Jared, Garrett, Ashton, Hunter, Bailey and Austin also survive Jerry. Also left to cherish Jerry's memory is former wife and mother of his children Elva Loomis of Portland, Texas, brother Gary Breshears of Nevada, sister Vicky Lewis and husband Earl of Corpus Christi, Texas, brother C.A. Breshears Jr. and wife Caroline of Leakey, Texas, sister Robin Hoyer and husband David of San Antonio, Texas, brother Kevin Breshears and wife Teresa of Orange, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews and friend Christine Rubio of Smithville, Texas. Of all the good things Jerry accomplished in life, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren who he loved immensely. Jerry recently celebrated his 65th birthday and had just celebrated the pending arrival of his new grandchild with family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening August 18, from 6:30 P.M., till 8:00 P.M., at Nelson Funeral Home in Leakey Texas. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 19, at the United Methodist Church in Leakey, Texas, with internment to follow at Leakey Floral cemetery. A reception will follow at the home of C.A. and Caroline Breshears.
