Joseph Schwartz, Father of Mrs. Steury, Dies at 92 Ill one day, Joseph D. Schwartz, 92, died of a possible heart attack at 6:30 p.m. Friday at his home at 510 East Cherry St. His wife, Lydia, died Oct. 28. A member of the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, Mr. Schwartz retired from farming in Monroe Twp. in 1961, at which time he and his wife moved to Bluffton. Born March 11, 1886 in Adams County, he was a son of David and Anna Steury Schwartz. His marriage to Lydia Mazelin took place April 5, 1908 in Monroe Twp., Adams County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Amos (Agnes) Steury of Bluffton, three brothers, Dan Schwartz of Berne, Peter Schwartz of Decatur and J. D. R, Schwartz of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. David (Martha) Graber of Tennessee, three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Thoma-Rich Funeral Home. Services at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren will be in charge of Rev.
