The obituary for Mrs. Eudora Garrett stated that she had died Jan. 24. Her maiden name was Rose, she being a daughter of Judge Jehiel Rose. She was born in Windsor township, Aug. 14, 1860 and on Jan. 7, 1872 she married Green Berry Garrett. The couple moved to a farm in Whitley township making their home there until 1908 when they moved to Windsor. Mr. Garrett died Aug. 13, 1909. Surviving were five children, all married. They were Edna [Mrs. E. C. Mahan] of Windsor, Luther of Texas, Grover, Dean, and Rex. Also surviving were 10 grandchildren, two brothers, John P. Rose of Windsor and Myron Rose of Mattoon, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilligoss of Decatur. Burial was in Ash Grove Cemetery. Windsor Gazette - 26 Jan 1922
