[first entry, regarding Charles Chapman, omitted] Another Ruby Home patient, John Elton Thompson, 88 years old, died May 25. Private services were held at Stroud's chapel last Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Jacque Martin. Mr. Thompson, a native of Iowa, was a retired laborer.

John Elton Thompson, according to family, went to the Yukon to make his fortune and came back to settle in the Seattle, Washington, area. He had lived in Port Townsend, Washington, for nine years before his death in 1958. He never married. Cremation took place. No other information is available.
