ANDREWS, LOUISE HOLLAND Louise Wilson Holland (Sissy) Andrews, native of Gloster, MS and long-time resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life Saturday, August 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, as well as her husband Brewster Charles Andrews and son, Brewster Charles Andrews, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Mary Andrews (Milton) Rea of Dothan, nephews James Lee Holland, Jr. of Birmingham and John Roderick (Joan) Holland of Mobile, niece Marion Holland Kisling of Kingwood, TX, great niece Jane Louise Holland (Jim) Barron of Tuscaloosa, daughter-in-law, June Andrews of The Colony, TX, seven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 32 great-great grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by devoted friends Suzann (Bill) Smith, Caroline (Fisher) Humphreys, and Grace Barnes, all of Birmingham. Louise was a faithful employee of Ingalls Iron Works and Shipbuilding of Birmingham. In later years, she also worked at Equipment Service Company and Ans-O-Phone of Birmingham. She was a member of Baptist Church of the Covenant (BCOC) since its inception. She was a Beta Sigma Phi Life Member. She was also a member of American Business Women's Association, Heart of Birmingham Chapter, where she was named Woman of the Year, 1997. The family will receive guests at BCOC on August 17th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service for Louise will be held at BCOC, Wednesday, August 18th at 12:30, Sarah Shelton and Fisher Humphreys officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BCOC Organ Fund. Louise's family wishes to express sincere gratitude to her BCOC family, especially Bill, Suzann, Kathleen, and Parker Smith and her "girls," Caroline, Cindy, Jill, Elaine, Becky, Carol and Dolores, without whom her quality of life could not have been sustained.
