Mr. Davis

FAIRAX - Mr. George Lonzie Davis, 91. of Fairax died Tuesday morning at his daughters's residence in Birmingham.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Jim McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in the Shawmut Cemetery.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Davis of Fairax; two daughters, Mrs. Julia Davis of Birmingham and Mrs. Marian Watkins of Huntsville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Carolyn Meadows of Fairfax and Mrs. Sarah Coffeen of Shawmut; five grandchilden and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Davis was a native of Chambers County. He was employed as a sheet metal, heating and airconditioning engineer with WestPoint Pepperell. He was a member of the Southerastern Metal Workers Union, Macon, Ga. Mr. Davis was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
