He was the son of Levi and Mary (Higgins) Andrews. On September 28, 1910, at Lawrenceville, he married, Miss Bertha Barnes. They moved to Portville, NY and then to Olean, NY in 1947. He passed away at his home, 142 South First St. in Olean. He and his brother, Leland Andrews operated Andrews Brothers Jewelers (which became Fox and Stevens), in Olean from 1911 to 1930. He was also an Oil Producer in the area. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife(Bertha), a son Richard Andrews of Purcellville, VA., three grandchildren and his brother, Leland. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Olean Masons lodge #252. The funeral was held at the Guenther and Morton Funeral Home on Feb 9, 1960.
