Mrs. F.W. Klose, Area Pioneer, Dies; Funeral Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. F.W. Klose were conducted Wednesday at 3 pm from Briggs-Gamel Chapel with the Rev. John Fluth officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rufus Spraberry. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Klose died in Rollins-Brook Hospital at 7:15 pm Monday after a brief serious illness.
Born September 4, 1874 in Williamson County, she was the former Annie Bell Hodges. She was married Dec. 28, 1892 to Fred Wm. Klose who preceded her in death in 1962. She moved with her family as a child to Bertram and lived three until 1916 when she moved to Lampasas County. Some 20 years ago she and her husband moved to Lampasas.
Mrs. Klose was a member of the Methodist Church.
Six of her 10 children survive. They are Charlie Klose of Lampasas, Walter Klose of Youngstown, Ohio, Ernest Klose and Henry Klose, both of Meridian, Mrs. Mary Green and Mrs. Zelma Bumpas, both of Lampasas. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
