Maryhelen Attaway Walker was born in East Mountain to Barney Robert and Bessie Lea Attaway June 3, 1935. She devoted her life to her family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor,a gift for telling family stories, a fondness for country music,John Wayne movies and a love of making beautiful quilts. She also liked to travel with her sister Sandra Kay Martin. They went to Graceland, Nashville,Vicksburg to the Civil War Cemetary. In March they went to Montgomery,Alabama to the Hank Williams Musuem and cementery. Her sons teased her about wanting go looking for "dead people". She loved history and the history of old cemeterys.

Maryhelen was preceeded in death by her parents: her brother Eddie Lee Attaway and her husband of 37 years Harold E Walker. She is survived by her children Eddie Eugene Walker and Aline of Longview, Robert Randall Walker and wife Connie of Ore City,Pamela Kay Way and husband Ken of Hallsville, and Nanette Lynn Orr and husband Kim of Brachfield: her grandchildren;Amber Joslin,Jenny Foster,Lacy Walker,Sarah Milam,Kaitlyn Orr,Christopher Walker and Joseph Walker: and seven great-grandchildren. Maryhelen leaves behind her sister Sandra Kay Martin and fiancee Wayne Thompson of College Station, her brothers,Robert Kenneth Attaway and wife Jeanette of Punta Gorda,Florida, Barney Ray Attaway and wife Janie of Odessa, and Mark Attaway of Odessa: and many nieces and nephews who loving called her Big Momma or Mamaw.

We mourn her passing,rejoice in her release and feel blessed to have been a part of her life.
