DIED,
In this town, on the morning of the 6th inst. in joyful hope of a blessed immortality, Miss Hannah Babcock, daughter of the late Dea. Babcock, in the 23d year of her age. She had several years before made a publick profession of faith and evidenced by a life of devotion and piety, that her faith was of an evangelical kind.

As she lived so she died the death of the righteous; her confidence was not shaken at the appearance of death; but she received the messenger with composure and with a smile on her countenance; without a struggle or a groan, she fell asleep in Jesus.

On the 8th inst. her remains were conveyed to the second Baptist Meeting house, and after a solemn discourse delivered by the Rev. Mr. Gibson, from 1 Corinthians, 15th ch. 55Th, 56th and 57th verses., decently interred.
