ELIAS MOSES DeHERRERA, 81, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, died May 18, 1998, at a Rocky Ford care center. He had served in the Navy and was a retired carpenter.

Mr. DeHerrera was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Saguache. He was married to Lupe Lujan.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Freddie, Don Romero, Joseph and Edward; three daughters, Minnie Ramos, Mary and Agnes Vasquez; a brother, Claude; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

No services are planned. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Florence Mortuary, (719) 784-6389, is handling arrangements.
