Bonnie W. Casteel, 71, of Sullivan died Tuesday (Dec. 16, 1997) in Sullivan.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan, with visitation one hour before services in McMullinYoung Funeral Home, Sullivan. Memorials: First Christian Church, Sullivan.
She was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Moultrie County, daughter of Owen and Clara Sallee Warner. She attended Illinois State and Eastern Illinois University and taught and substituted in Sullivan schools. She retired as county executive director of Moultrie County ASCS office after 37 years of service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was an active member of First Christian Church, Sullivan. She married Harry W. Casteel on June 2, 1947, in Bethany. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1975.
Surviving are her son, Steven W. and wife Lynn of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren, Andrew and Julia Casteel; special niece, Marclyn and husband Bill Park of Sullivan; special nephew, Dick and wife Linda Watson of Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, James, one sister, Vernetta Watson, and her parents.
